Cosmetic - Fracture
This female patient always had the visible vertical fracture lines on her two front teeth. Though asymptomatic, she was always very conscious of her smile. Highly cosmetic E-max crowns were prescribed with such a great result! Now, she never stops smiling!
Tooth color composite bonding is an affordable way to fix a chipped or fractured tooth as an alternative to a full coverage crown. One of the front teeth fractured in this case, and it was beautifully restored to perfection using 3M Filtek Supreme composite material. It looks very natural with superior esthetics.
The patient in the photo was dissatisfied with her smile due to the aging and discoloration of old composite bondings on her front teeth. She was on schedule to attend a wedding, and something quick had to be done. The old filling material was removed from the front four teeth followed by restoration with esthetic 3M Filtek Supreme composite material. They are lifelike, and the patient was extremely happy with the result!
Old amalgam (silver colored metal filling) fillings age and leak over time. The tooth shown in the photo exhibits enamel discoloration, marginal staining and recurrent decay due to amalgam leakage. The amalgam was removed and a composite filling was placed. The tooth has never looked this natural!
